Piper of the Month April 2021

We are proud to announce our Piper of the Month for April 2021: Craig Vincelette

CC: Hey Craig, how are you?

CC: Just want to say it is an honor to have you here, as our Piper of the Month for April 2021!

Craig: Good thanks, appreciate you guys and the nomination.

CC: What do you do for work?

Craig: I am a Lieutenant with the City of Middletown Fire Department

CC: How long have you been playing the Bagpipe?

Craig: I have been playing for four years now

CC: What made you want to start playing?

Craig: Everyone loves the bagpipes! I never played an instrument growing up so I said why not start with the bagpipes! It took a couple times of starting and stopping before I finally stuck with it but here I am. Not only have I learned to play an amazing instrument, but I have met some amazing guys/gals along the way! Brotherhood at its best!

CC: What band are you affiliated with?

Craig: New Haven County Firefighters Emerald Society Pipe & Drum Band

CC: What is your favorite song to play?

Craig: my favorite song that we play is Bells of Dunblane. I am lucky enough to share a birthday with "The Legend" Chris Kyle, a true American Hero!! I first heard the song when I watched the video of Chief Petty Officer Kyle's casket being carried by his men to his final resting place. Although it is a somber memory, I remember the sacrifice he made for this country every time we play it!

Crooked Chanter Company would like to congratulate Craig and thank him for being our Piper of the Month for April 2021.
